[download]
As a Friend of Phlamoudhi you will receive:
an invitation to the symposium from January 20-22, 2004 consisting of lectures and workshops about the significance of the discoveries at Phlamoudhi. Papers and discussions will cover topics dating from the second millennium BCE to the present. The workshops will feature hands-on study and discussion of finds from Phlamoudhi that are not on display in the Settlement and Sanctuary exhibition. A Friends of Phlamoudhi reception will follow the symposium lectures on January 21, 2004.
Friends who make a gift of $70, symbolic of the 1970s when most of the fieldwork in the village of Phlamoudhi took place, will receive a copy of the Guide to Phlamoudhi. It is a book detailing the archaeological heritage of the village and environs of Phlamoudhi. Modeled on the standard Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation series of guidebooks to archaeological sites in Cyprus, the Guide to Phlamoudhi will serve as an archaeological guide to the Settlement and Sanctuary exhibition, which will display the ancient art, archaeology, and history of Phlamoudhi in the form of site visit
.
All gifts are tax deductible. Checks should be made out to Columbia University and sent to: The Friends of Phlamoudhi, c/o Joanna S. Smith, Department of Art History and Archaeology, 826 Schermerhorn Hall, MC 5517, Columbia University, New York, NY 10027.
