As an undergraduate, he worked in the Media Center throughout the entire course of his studies and is proficient in image processing and archive maintenance. While at Columbia, his particular area of interest was the 18th and 19th century tradition of British landscape painting; however his work with diverse image collections, such as at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, has fostered a general interest in the nature of art historical innovation and education. Gabriel supports equipment in the classroom and computer lab, as well as image processing and cataloging.
