There is no prerequisite for taking this course. It is an introduction, aimed at giving students a broad working knowledge of the art and archaeology of the Aegean world and its neighbors in Anatolia, Cyprus, Syria-Palestine, and Egypt mainly between ca. 3000 and 1000 B.C. The course is designed to present the fundamentals of sites, artifacts, issues, and approaches, making it possible for students to take more specialized courses about the Mediterranean Bronze Age.
